There’s something sophisticated about oxford shoes, even more so when women wear it. These may be considered formal wear for men but give it a little twist and you will see oxfords in a totally different light. Steve Madden comes up with oxfords with colors that gives a casual and quirky aura to it. It still looks sophisticated but it gives a different light to women’s casual wear. Most people would pair it up with capri pants or high-waisted, ankle-crop pants and a simple tee. You can also wear it with twill pants or even skirts. In my honest opinion, oxfords are not for everyone. Unlike stilettos where you only have to learn how to walk in heels, Steve Madden’s Jazie oxfords have a different attitude of its own so you need to have the right amount of attitude and confidence to exude that sophistication.

Steve Madden’s Jazie Oxfords comes in black nubuck, cognac nubuck taupe nubuck and cognac leather. I prefer the lighter shades because although the black nubuck has a purple sole, it still looks so bland and boring (but that’s just me). CK Hallen Peep-Toe Espadrille (Vanchetta)

Here’s another one fresh from the Spring 2012 collection and this time it’s from Calvin Klein. The Hallen open-toe wedge espadrille has colors loud enough but not too flashy. I love wedges and I love espadrilles and these two rolled into one just makes me giddy. These would be nice with skinny jeans or even short skirts or … well … shorts. The upper is made of leather while the inner sole is lined with fabric.

Talk about elegant. Giuseppe Zanotti went all the way with this crystal embellished T-strap sandal! It’s perfect for any formal occasions whether it be weddings or cocktail parties. I love the barely there look but at the same time love the head turning sparkly blings all over it. It’s very sophisticated and although some may want to pair it up with skinny pants, I’d much rather use in more dressier events. I’d pair it up with pencil cut dresses that falls just below the knee. Of course I’d want the whole world (or the whole room) too see me wearing these!

The upper and straps are covered in silk while the sole is made of leather. It only comes in one color (Salmone) which is kinda pinkish bronze. The heel measures approximately 4.5 inches so it’s not for newbies. You need to be used to wearing sky-high shoes or you’re in for a rough night with this. Casadei 8593 Pump in Gerbera

A lot of celebrities have seen wearing Casadei shoes and why not? It may not be as expensive as Lanvin’s that Salma Hayek was seen wearing at some premieres or Louboutin’s that Selena Gomez likes to prance around int but it sure is as elegant as any of those two. These pointy pumps for example looks like a $1500 pair of shoes but the price ranges only between $350-$450. This Gerbera colored one for example is only $344, that’s already a great price for the same look and quality. What you’ll love most about this shoe is the skinny stiletto heel. The thinner the heels are the sexier they seem, don’t you think?

The heel measures approximately 4.5 inches and has no front platftorm so it would help if you have long and thin feet. The upper is made of suede leather and comes in Gerbera and Nero colors. They have satin and patent pumps in different colors too but it comes in a higher price. I’d pair it up with tight pants (leather if you can), tight top and an open jacket for an even sexier look. Colors seem to be “IN” this coming spring and lots of loud ones by the looks of this Nine West Boushie Wedge Sandals. As if it’s not enough that the upper is made of a solid pink or orange or turquoise, the actual wedge platforms has even more colors! The 6 inch heels is striped with pinks, greens, oranges, reds, blacks, purples and yellows. The front platform is approximately 1.25 inches only so that’s almost 5 inches to walk with so it’s a good thing the straps are locked with buckles for a more secured fit. It also helps the wedge and outer sole is actually made of cork so it produces the right amount of traction for a more confident walk.

My favorite would be the white one because it looks much … simpler if you could call it that. I guess it’s just easier to pair with your wardrobe. Giuseppe Zanotti E20098: The Striped Slingback Pumps

Giuseppe Zanotti is no doubt one of our favorite brands because of the unique and classy designs they come up with. They recently came out with a new collection and this striped sling back (E20098) is one of my favorites. This is a casual pair that would look nice with skinny jeans or tights and an over-sized top or even skirts and dresses.What I find most interesting is that it doesn’t appear tacky or too loud considering the variety of materials used. As you can see, the upper is made of black and white striped fabric but look closer and you’ll see it has leather lining on the peep toe and a leopard print lining on the other side. The heel is wrapped in yellow snake skin embossed leather.

‘Tis the season to be glam and fabulous but you don’t have to sacrifice comfort for all of that. Dolce Vita comes up with the Camryn platform wedges that can go with anything. Short skirts or shorts or jeans and even dresses. This retro pair of shoes are chunky but the straps and the color make it look feminine. It has adjustable buckles for a snug fit and a leather lined foot bed for added comfort. Most people use red or green for Christmas but gold does it for me. Other than being catchy it actually looks more expensive.

Poetic Licence Good To Be Bad Platform Sandals in Natural

One look and you know that Poetic Licence’s Good To Be Bad is one unique pair of foot wear. From the colors to the design and the accents, this sandal is very girly and I think the only way to show this off is to wear flowy dresses and skirts. Maybe it’s just me but I don’t see them with jeans or even shorts. I’d also go minimal with accessories and if I do wear any the small and dainty stuff would be better. Chunky stuff might give me (or whoever wears it) a tacky over-all look.

It’s winter so let’s try on some winter shoes, shall we?  The Naughty Monkey Icey boots will not only provide you the warmth you need to get through the whole winter season, it’s also filled with enough style any red blooded fashionista couldn’t resist. The inner fabric, you’ll be glad to know, is animal friendly and is made of faux shearling, thus the warm coating and the outer upper is made of suede. I love the wrap around straps and buckles that secure the leg making sure no cool air comes in and freezes your toes.

Booties again and this one is from Michael Antonio. The Chaz ankle booties may look high but it’s comfy cause of the cork wedges and I LOVE wedge. The upper is made of animal print fabric and that itself is an eye catcher but the thing that I love most about this shoe (if you look closer) is the cut out detail on the ankles. The black bow kinda puts me off but hey, they’re still interesting.

Steve Madden Moskow (Black Fabric)

These pumps might not look that great as it is but you might be surprised how nice they look when worn. Jennette McCurdy wore these in a few events including the Nickelodeon’s Kid’s Choice Awards in Australia and the recent premiere of Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried’s movie In Time. I have to say it looks way better in both occasions. The thing that initially threw me off was the 1 1/2 inch mirrored platforms but again, it looked way better when you actually wear it. These would look great with tight dresses and maybe chunky silver accessories … except for the gold glitter of course.

For those who want to look feminine but keep the punk chic aura, Dolce Vita comes up with the Dolce Vita Bijou Pump. This pair easily says “Don’t mess with me!” with it’s deadly pointed toe and hardware metal spikes running from the counter down to its heels that measure approximately 4 1/2 inches. You’d probably be teetering in these since it doesn’t have platforms to balance the height out. For obvious reasons, these are best worn by women with longer feet … yes … bummer. Pumps usually go along with almost anything but I could just see these with skinny jeans and a leather jacket!

If the studs aren’t eye catching enough it also comes in red patent leather and that will sure turn heads from all directions. It also comes in dark silver patent and champagne patent. The upper is made of leather and aside from the the sky high heels you also should be careful about slippery surfaces since the outer sole doesn’t really have any sort of design or material to produce traction. The T-strap style is very simple and with a barely there feel but that only makes it even sexier. Be sure to have your toe nails all trimmed and pimped. This would look great in short dresses and skirts to emphasize the minimalist look . It actually makes your legs look longer unlike other ankle strap pumps.

The upper is made of soft leather with the ankle strap matching the heel cover. It comes in the two tone Sahara Black (sand and black) and Sahara Bordeaux (sand and maroon) and a Gold monotone. I have to say, I’d love to get these in all colors. The only problem here is that if you’re not used to super high heels you might not enjoy wearing this because of the whooping 4.5 inches heel and unlike others, the Danya sandal doesn’t have platforms to boost the front. Dolce Vita comes up with another creation that you shouldn’t pass up. The Sali wedges can be used both for casual and formal events. I love how the gold striped platform makes it stand out. The black suede with and gold striped platforms look more formal for me so I’d like to wear it with knee length or short and strapless cocktail dresses.

The Fergie brand has brought some interesting pieces out and one of them is the Beatnik platform sandals. Other than the sky-high heels, it is famous for the red patent leather that can turn heads from a mile away! This is definitely flashy and something to wear on a night out if you want to make an impression. These are nice to wear with tights or skinny jeans to emphasize its sky high feature. I have to admit I like the nude one, though. Probably cause it’s more wearable and can go with almost anything. Gold buckles are more appealing to me as well. It’s casual but also classy.

Nothing spells bold more than printed pumps and Aldo’s Spaziano platform pumps aren’t just any other ordinary printed pumps. The style and design is loud but the color and paisley print on the fabric makes it a bit timid. If you want to travel back in time you can pair it up with a wide legged pair of pants and maybe a white top but skinny jeans would work too. I especially love the ankle strap and tiny the gold buckle because it makes the pair a bit more feminine.

I had a pair exactly like this years ago that someone borrowed and never returned. I’ve been looking for a replacement and Michael Antonio’s Luelle is the perfect one. I wear this with almost anything! Skinny jeans and an over sized button up shirt is my favorite for casual days in the office but it’s great with my little black dress too! Military-type cut-out booties are always sexy. L.A.M.B.’s Norine booties take the hotness up a notch, though. This pair is very eye catching owing to its sexy lace up design and the over flowing buckles that spell security. You know you’re going to get that snug fit when you put these on but you don’t have to worry about getting it on and off because it’s actually an easy slip since it has a back zip that makes it accessible. Pair it up with tights or some skinny jeans and an over sized shirt and you’re ready to walk like a diva.

Another wedding, another shoe hunting. The Chinese Laundry Hotline pump in nude is a perfect match to a blushing bride’s wedding dress. I’m not waiting to be a bride to wear this piece, though. I think it’s a good match for my red, wrap around bride’s maids dress. The lace upper makes it so feminine looking I only need to match it with a pearl necklace and I’m good to go. Gold accessories might work too but I think pearl would compliment the satin bow accent.
